Novel Review: A Fistful of Nothing

Fistful of Nothing

Rarely does a title grab me; in part because of the old saying.  But then I find about a book like Fistful of Nothing…  Now that’s an attention grabber!  Now, I’m not saying this because it reminds me of Sergio Leone, but it fills you with images of Film Noir action from the start.  And this retro science fiction dystopia doesn’t skip on many sights, many frights, and faded Hollywood lights.  Let’s dig deep into the Hollywoodholes in Fistful of Nothing!

From The Vaults: BioShock

Admittedly, this wasn’t a favorite review of mine, despite BioShock being one of my all time favorite video games! But, you might think differently… Enjoy.

BioShock

“A man chooses! A slave obeys! A man chooses… A SLAVE OBEYS! OBEY!!!”

BioShock/Infinite Picture

I won’t deny it, the BioShock games have been among my favorite games ever created! I’m a super fan on many levels! So many factors have lead to the appeal for me; dystopian settings, failed utopias, political/social intrigue, fascinating settings, beautiful set design, wonder art aesthetics, and of course retro-futuristic punk settings! But, there’s a lot more to the series to that! A mix of wonderful moments and pitfalls as well. So, let’s go somewhere beyond the sea and into the sky with the BioShock series!

Game Review: BioShock Infinite – Burial at Sea Episode 2

WARNING: This review contains massive spoilers. You have been warned.

For those who’ve kept up with the BioShock universe, every installment is a vicious cycle of character torment. And now, the series comes full circle! The last chapter in the wibbly-wobbly series of BioShock is finished. The gaps have (for the most part) been filled and the two settings have truly united. And now, we’re making our final stops to Columbia and Rapture. The party may be over, but let’s take one final journey below the sea! This time, we navigate Rapture as Elizabeth during the prologue of the Rapture Civil War.
